The upcoming iPhone 8 is probably Apple's most anticipated device for several years - and one of the biggest unknowns on the device is the battery life.

Although we would not be sure until Apple launches the flagship device, the rumor is already in overdrive, people are wondering if the iPhone 8 battery will survive the battery of the iPhone 7 and the new Samsung Galaxy S8.

Rumors suggest that Apple would have a 2,700 mAh battery in the iPhone 8, which would be nearly comparable to the 2.900 mAH battery in the iPhone 7 Plus 5.5 inches. Analysts asked how Apple will put such a large battery into a smaller phone.

The mobile phones and how long their battery lasts (via the website of the review PhoneArena:

iPhone 7 Plus: 9 hours and 15 minutes

Samsung Galaxy S8 +: 8 hours accurate

iPhone 7: 7 h 46 min

Huawei PT: 7:42 Minutes

Google Pixel XL: 7 h 19 min

Galaxy S7 Edge: 7 h 18 min

OnePlus 3T: 5 hours 41 minutes

Several reports have suggested that Apple is considering reducing several components in the chassis of the iPhone 8 to make room for a larger battery.

KGI Securities Analyst KING Ming-Chi Kuo - an analyst known for his predictions from Apple - believes that Apple has drafted a clear plan to get a bigger battery in its upcoming flagship handset.

The plan includes the use of a "stacked" logic board that has a smaller overall print in the iPhone. The shrinking logic board, which maintains communication between other components of the iPhone, will also improve the energy efficiency of the iPhone 8. As a result, Kuo expects that the battery of the iPhone 8 is even better than the battery life on the iPhone 7 Plus.

Elsewhere, Cowen and company analyst Timothy Arcuri, who has a mixed record on iPhone rumors, predicts that the biggest new Apple iPhones could be equipped with two batteries extended autonomy

Kuo also seems to believe that Apple will adopt a "two-cell design" approach, with Apple Insider that he thinks that the two batteries will form an L-shape in the iPhone 8. Kuo think the new battery design will allow faster charging speed.

Besides the cable charging via a lightning cable, it is possible that future owners of iPhone 8 can also charge the battery on their new wireless device, with filtered photos that suggest that the iPhone 8 supports the charge based wireless this would make it iPhone 8 owners allow their phone to be charged simply by placing it on a compatible charging block.
