Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has praised the impact of Eddie Nketiah, saying he has never seen a youngster make such impact in a big game.

Nketiah, 18, scored twice as the Gunners came from behind to defeat Norwich City 2-1 on Tuewsday, in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.

The striker turned home a corner with his first touch, only 15 seconds after being brought on with five minutes to play at the Emirates. He then headed the winner for Wenger’s side early in extra time.

“I can’t remember a young player having such an impact in a game like that. Until he came on we lacked ideas and creativity.

“I knew he had quality, but when the team need you and you deliver, that’s another quality you don’t know about until you go on to the pitch.

“I’m impressed to think that he was not even conceived when I was already here! But it’s good as well because life gives chances to young people. Hopefully he’ll have a long career at Arsenal,” Wenger told the media afterwards.

Jose Arnaiz scored on his senior debut as Barcelona defeated third-tier side Real Murcia in the first leg of their fourth-round Copa del Rey tie.

Barcelona, who rested Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and also had Gerard Pique and Ivan Rakitic on the bench, went ahead through Paco Alcacer’s header.

Valencia gained a 2-0 victory at Segunda Division side Real Zaragoza, Getafe went down 1-0 at home against Alaves and Cadiz lost 2-1 to Real Betis.

Atletico Madrid get their Copa del Rey campaign under way on Wednesday when they head to third-tier Elche, before Real Madrid play away at another third-tier side Fuenlabrada on Thursday.

“Surrey Police attended Blundel Lane in Oxshot around 4.40pm following a one vehicle collision,” the police said.

“The driver did not suffer any injuries. There were delays for drivers while the vehicle awaited recovery.”

The 23-old midfielder who joined Chelsea this summer from Monaco is still struggling with driving in England.

His brother had previously revealed that the France international does not like driving on the left side of the road.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte also confirmed was not hurt in the crash and will be fit for the trip to Stoke City.

Former England boss Roy Hodgson was appointed Crystal Palace's new director for a two-year deal.

Hodgson replaced Frank de Boer, who was dismissed on Monday after 77 days and five games.

The 70-year-old man has been out of operation since his resignation as head of England after the defeat of Israel in the last stage of the euro 2016.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic has an unfinished business at Manchester United.

The Swedish striker signed another one-year contract with United on Thursday and returned to the English club, which released him in the summer when he recovered from a serious knee injury.

"I'm back to finish what I started," said Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic, 35, suffered the injury in a quarter-final of the Europa League against Anderlecht in April, without him from the last month of the season. He was on crutches during the victory of United against Ajax in the finals of the Europa League in Stockholm.

He was rehabilitated in the summer during the summer and showed enough positive signs in his recovery to convince the club that he is worth a new contract.

United did not say when Ibrahimovic should return to action, although manager José Mourinho said the striker "will be important in the second half of the season."

"I feel good, hard work," Ibrahimovic said in an interview with ESPN released on Thursday. "I have not had a day since the injury, because I wanted to continue to play on the top level, because you have to build the knee ... I did not want to return what I was not."

"I'm not finished, I'll decide when I'm done."

Ibrahimovic said he'll take my time to make sure I'm ready.

Ibrahimovic is the number 10 T-shirt of club captain, Wayne Rooney, who joined Everton in the offseason.
