“I dropped out of TASUED because my parents couldn’t pay my school fees” – Olamide Badoo

Nigerian singer / rapper Olamide Adedeji, known in the folk as Olamide Badoo, showed that he left the university because his parents could not afford his lessons.

He showed that he could do it in life by discovering his talent and his endless work. He also identified discipline, commitment and concentration as catalysts for achievements in life.

According to Punch, Crooner "Wo", the special Ehrengast in the summer camp organized by the Ogun government at Akin Ogunpoola Model College, Akinale in the Ewekoro local government region on Friday, he was determined to succeed in life against all opportunities, face the vivid reality that his parents were poor and could not pay for their lessons in the higher institution.

He said:
“I am from Ogun State here, I do not joke with my culture and language, in fact, I came from a poor background. I had to drop out of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode, when it was getting difficult for my parents to pay my school fees.
However with doggedness, perseverance and hard work I was able to find myself where I am today.”

He urged the camp students to always be different and to avoid unnecessary pressure from their peers.

Earlier in his brief introduction of the guest to the campers, the governor Ibikunle Amosun, represented by Information and Strategy Commissioner Otunba Dayo Adeneye, recommended young boys and girls girls to be diligent, hardworking and coherent in everything they do.

He also urged them to fight for the best in their academic persecution.

While he told the young people to broaden the knowledge they had acquired to their families and their parents, the Governor promised that his administration would continue to be committed to the formation of education.

He said the sector would remain superior in the state of the state.
