Nigerian singer Skales, revealed in a recent interview that international female rapper Nicki Minaj has tried to reach him and maybe work with him.
In the interview, Skales said that after his presentation he was on the trail of Major Lazer, 'Run Up', and Nicki Minaj. "It's still crazy for me to know how I get DM from him," said Skales.
"It was Diplo (Major Lazer) who hung us up, so I can communicate with her and share my sound," he added.
This news is an additional reason to believe that the international music community in the Nigerian music industry is exploring a new area and explaining why Nigerian artists have been more concerned with foreign artists more recently.
